Fewer listings, told better

A boutique brokerage for architecturally significant homes — we market a house as an act of authorship, not as inventory.

A practice built on provenance

Marlowe Hale began in 2014 with a simple conviction: that an architecturally significant home is best sold by the people who understand how it was made. Eleanor Marlowe and Sara Hale built the firm around the drawings, the permits, and the original architect of record and around the belief that a house deserves to be marketed as a piece of work, not as inventory.

A decade on, the practice stays deliberately small. Fewer listings, each given the full attention of the studio, editorial photography, period-aware staging, and a discreet network of the right buyers. The result is a calmer kind of transaction, and a relationship that tends to outlast the sale.

The people behind the work

What our clients say

A relationship, not a transaction.

"Quietly excellent at every step. The marketing was tasteful, the negotiation was calm, and we closed above asking without ever feeling like our home had been turned into a billboard."

Marcus Bell

Seller, Echo Park

"Patient, design-literate, and refreshingly free of pressure. They treated finding the right house as a conversation about how we wanted to live, not a transaction to close."

Lena Voss

Buyer, Silver Lake

"The provenance essay they wrote for our Craftsman found exactly the kind of buyer who would steward it. That is rare, and it is the whole reason we chose them."
